Herbert Greene, Jr.
Chief Executive Officer

Since 1981, Herbert Greene Jr. has been involved extensively in the field of real estate development and finance. As controlling manager of Urban Suburban, Greene fosters a tradition of excellence by directing the operations, management and long-range strategic planning for the company. Greene, an Atlanta native, holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Morehouse College. He currently chairs the Benedita De Silva Foundation and has served as Vice Chair of the Westside Development Authority.

Greene resides in Atlanta with his wife Cynthia and their three children.

Kenneth C. Lewis           
Chief Financial Officer

Kenneth Lewis has been an integral part of the Urban Suburban management team for more than 20 years. His responsibilities include: monitoring postings of monthly rental income for all properties, monitoring postings for Expense/Income transactions for CashFlow report, preparation and maintainance of payroll documents for employees and overseeing the majority of financial transactions relating to daily operations at Urban Suburban Inc. Lewis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Morris Brown College.

Lewis is married with three children and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Nathaniel Robertson
Vice President of Operations

Nathaniel Robertson has been intimately involved with Urban Suburban, Inc. for over 15 years.  Robertson manages the day to day operations of Urban Suburban, where he currently serves as Vice President of Operations. During the course of his career, he is credited with acquiring numerous residential and commercial properties which led to Robertson eventually developing, leasing and selling numerous holdings. His managerial skills are critical in the development of opportunities for the firm’s overall growth.  Robertson, who holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance from Morehouse College, is licensed in the State of Georgia in Property and Casualty Insurance. He also co-chairs Dream Achievers Foundation, a non-profit group dedicated to awarding scholarships to high school students.

Robertson resides in Newnan, Georgia with his wife and two daughters.

Melvin Massey
Administrative Services Manager

Since 2004, Massey has been a part of the Urban Suburban team of professionals. For over 22 years, he has served in the Administration/Information Systems for several multi-million dollar organizations. Massey studied Computer Information Systems at the University of Nebraska in Omaha and Business Information Systems at Devry University. 

Massey resides in Atlanta and has one son.

Nola J. Walker, J.D.
In-House Legal Counsel

Nola J. Walker has successfully managed the liabilities for Urban Suburban for the past 10 years.. Walker earned her Juris Doctorate from Woodrow Wilson College of Law and a Master of Divinity Degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. While studying for her degrees, Walker earned entry into Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society and Theta Phi Honor Society. In addition to duties at Urban Suburban, she has also served as co-pastor of Good News Community CME Church for six years.

Walker lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband Roger and three children.

Van Christopher Armstrong, MBA
Asset Manager

Van Christopher Armstrong has served as Urban Suburban Inc’s Asset Manager for three years. His responsibilities include maintaining an aggregate occupancy rate in excess of 87% for all of Urban Suburban’s commercial and residential properties, assist in management of cash flow as well as oversee the company’s budget and income. Armstrong has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Georgia and a Masters in Business Administration from Jackson State University.

Tayani Suma, MBA
Development Consultant

Tayani Suma works with Urban Suburban, Inc. as a development consultant. A seasoned community development professional with over fifteen years of experience in real estate and economic development in disinvested communities, Suma has worked with various property types and many financing sources, including historic and low income housing tax credits, taxable and tax-exempt bond financing, conventional debt and equity, and assorted grant and subsidy programs.  Her responsibilities include: detailed conceptual early-stage planning; master site planning coordination and oversight; site acquisition and site assembly, financial packaging including detailed financial modeling and negotiating commitments for debt, equity, subsidy, and public funding sources.

She holds an MBA in Real Estate-Financing and Investments.
